The Perfect Partnership for a Brighter Brunch
Indeed! I am thrilled to share that I’m collaborating with Florida’s Natural – the renowned maker of my absolute favorite not-from-concentrate orange juice, meticulously grown in the lush orange groves of Florida. This partnership allows me to bring you a series of fresh, juicy recipes over the coming months. When envisioning the ideal way to kick off this exciting collaboration, a Mimosa Sangria immediately came to mind. It felt like the quintessential start, especially fitting as we celebrate the joy of brunch and vibrant, fresh flavors.
While the exact timing might vary, every day can feel like a celebration with a drink this delightful. It’s a wonderful excuse to gather loved ones and toast to good company and delicious food. And what better way to do that than with a glass of something truly special? This Mimosa Sangria takes the beloved classic and infuses it with an exciting new dimension, ensuring every sip is a festive occasion.

Beyond the Classic: A Fresh Fruit Twist on Your Mimosa
Without a doubt, the timeless combination of orange juice and bubbly is a crowd-pleaser that rarely disappoints. It’s simple, elegant, and always a hit. However, if you’re looking to introduce a captivating “twist” to this beloved classic, prepare to elevate your mimosa experience. This recipe invites you to embrace the vibrant world of fresh fruit, literally twisting an array of delicious flavors into a sophisticated sangria rendition. It transforms the straightforward mimosa into a more complex, visually stunning, and incredibly refreshing beverage that’s perfect for any festive occasion, from intimate brunches to grand celebrations.
The beauty of this Mimosa Sangria lies in its impressive simplicity. To begin, you’ll want to gather your fresh fruits. I highly recommend a medley of fresh strawberries, juicy oranges, and succulent pineapple, each sliced thinly to allow their flavors to meld beautifully. However, don’t hesitate to use any fresh, seasonal fruit you have readily available – the recipe is incredibly versatile and forgiving. The key is to select ripe, flavorful fruits that will contribute their natural sweetness and aromatic notes to the drink.
Once your fruits are prepared, pour in generous amount of Florida’s Natural®Orange Juice. Crucially, opt for the not-from-concentrate variety, as this ensures the purest, freshest orange flavor. I personally gravitate towards the “Some Pulp” version for a bit of extra body and texture, but any Florida’s Natural variety will work beautifully. To add an extra layer of warmth and sophistication, include a splash of Grand Marnier, Cointreau, or any other quality orange liqueur. This addition provides a subtle depth and enhances the citrus notes already present. Gently muddle all these ingredients together with a large spoon, allowing the orange juice to absorb and infuse with all those delightful, sweet fruity flavors. This gentle mulling process helps release the essential oils and juices from the fruit, creating a richer, more integrated taste profile for your sangria base.

The Art of Flavor Infusion: Chilling and Serving
For those with a touch of patience and a desire for optimal flavor development, I highly recommend allowing your fruit and orange juice mixture to chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour. This crucial step permits the flavors to truly meld and deepen, transforming individual components into a harmonious and complex sangria base. The cold temperature also ensures a refreshing drink from the very first sip. However, if immediate gratification calls (and who could blame you when something this delicious awaits?), feel free to proceed directly to the next exciting step without the extended chill time. Your Mimosa Sangria will still be incredibly tasty!
(A small note: for the vibrant photos you see here, I prepared a double batch. Because, well… when it comes to brunch, more is definitely more!)

The Grand Finale: Adding the Bubbly!
Now for the most exciting part: introducing the bubbly! When you’re ready to serve, simply fill your chosen serving glasses about one-third full with the chilled orange juice and fruit mixture. Then, slowly and carefully top each glass with your favorite champagne or sparkling wine until it reaches the brim. Be mindful as you pour, as the effervescence can cause it to bubble up quite enthusiastically! The gentle pour helps control the fizz and ensures a beautifully layered drink. This final step is where the magic truly happens, transforming your flavorful fruit base into a sparkling, celebratory Mimosa Sangria.

Customizing Your Perfect Mimosa Sangria
These gorgeous cocktails are now ready to be enjoyed! One of the greatest joys of this Mimosa Sangria recipe is its incredible adaptability. Feel empowered to tinker with it to perfectly suit your preferences and the occasion. Want a bolder flavor? Adjust the amount of orange liqueur. Prefer a lighter touch? Reduce it or omit it entirely. The fruit selection is equally flexible; while strawberries, oranges, and pineapple offer a delightful classic combination, feel free to experiment with berries, peaches, kiwi, or even thawed frozen fruits for year-round enjoyment. Garnish with extra fresh fruit slices, sprigs of mint, or even playful cocktail umbrellas to enhance its visual appeal and make it truly your own. The core elements – a good quality dry sparkling wine or champagne and a fresh carton of not-from-concentrate Florida’s Natural Orange Juice – are your foundation for success. With these essentials in place, you truly can’t go wrong with the rest of your creative additions.
Selecting the right sparkling wine is key, but it doesn’t have to be an expensive undertaking. A dry brut champagne, prosecco, or Cava will provide the perfect counterpoint to the sweetness of the fruit and orange juice, creating a balanced and refreshing drink. Avoid overly sweet sparkling wines, as they might make the sangria too sugary. A good rule of thumb is to choose a sparkling wine you enjoy drinking on its own. With quality ingredients as your starting point, every variation you create will be a testament to your personal taste and a delightful experience for your guests.
Cheers, friends! May your brunches be brighter and your sips be sweeter with this amazing Mimosa Sangria.
