Creamy Sauce Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon butter or olive oil
  • 5 cloves garlic, pressed or minced
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups Almond Breeze original unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/2 cup freshly-grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

To Make The Pasta:

  1. Cook pasta in a large stockpot of generously-salted water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain thoroughly and set aside.
  2. While the pasta water is heating, begin preparing your cream sauce following the instructions below. Once both the sauce and pasta are cooked and ready, combine them in the large stockpot. Add the chopped chicken breasts, sun-dried tomatoes, and approximately half of the fresh basil. Toss everything together until the pasta, chicken, and tomatoes are evenly coated with the creamy sauce. Serve immediately, garnished with the remaining fresh basil and any desired optional toppings (such as crushed red pepper flakes, extra Parmesan, or toasted pine nuts) for an added burst of flavor and texture.

To Make The Sauce:

  1. In a large sauté pan, heat the olive oil (or butter) over medium-high heat. Add the minced or pressed garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it becomes fragrant and lightly golden. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
